The staff are friendly, there is a microwave and an ice machine located on the first floor, after a long day experiencing the many landmarks LA has to offer, it is a nice place to relax. As European Travellers experiencing Los Angeles for the first time, we would definitely recommend this hotel. The Grove shopping center and a discount Ross clothes store is also within close proximity and in the case you do not hire a car, there is a bus stop a across the road. The parking is free and is convenient, walking distance from a nearby 7/11, the local Farmers Market and Trader Joe’s. The check in was easy, no fuss and we were allocated a room on the ground floor. We stayed at the Park Plaza from the 17th to the 22nd of September, it was a great location to enjoy a USC Trojans game at the Memorial Stadium and a Reggae night at the Hollywood Bowl on the 18th of September. Other than that, the tv in the room was huge, the beds were super comfy and our room was right by the pool which was nice.… It needs either an internal shower curtain or the shower screen removing and putting inside the shower before the lip or a fully closable water tight shower screen. Everyday we needed fresh towels as we'd be ringing water out of the bath mat after 2 of us showered in the morning. It didnt bother us so much after a day or so but our trip was 7 days and it just became frustrating and made the bathroom floor very slippy/dangerous. The only downside is the way the shower has been designed - the shower/bathroom is lovely however the design of the shower is awful as the water pools on the lip of the shower and then seeps down onto the bathroom floor/bath mat.

There is parking for 6 cars at the front of the hotel however if these are full you'll need to go round the back to park. Please don't let previous reviews of the back alley way for parking put you off, yes some of the spaces are abit tight but we never felt unsafe when arriving back and parking there late at night/early hrs of the morning. The hairdryer in the room didnt work however reception quickly replaced this for us with no issue. Great size mini fridge in the room and an easy to use safe.

The free parking is a huge plus and it is in a great location. Matt on reception when we checked in was so lovely and helpful. We were really pleased with our stay here.
